Industry experts in the fields of technology, design and the digital lifestyle

are expressing their support for the Full Ride Studios business model and “Domino” concept.

Here is what they have to say:

In our work at USC (http://digitalcenter.org) we have been tracking users’ attitudes and behaviors towards Internet and Wireless technology for the past five years. One of our early trends was to observe that as consumers became used to broadband at home they wanted the Internet where they were with very easy access. The hot spot that became the most humanly networked part of the home, the kitchen, was where Internet users wanted to check when they entered or left the house or while stopping during television commercials. What Don Fotsch and Full Ride Studios has created is the best effort I have seen taking advantage of the kitchen as the center of the home with a real convergence play integrating the PC and the television. Very few designers fully realize the potential of the kitchen and this venture is perfectly positioned (based on what our research and others say) to realize the potential here.

If the “Domino” product were available today I'd design it into all my kitchen projects.  There is no comparable solution out there today despite a clear need.  The commitment to elegantly integrating PC and television into one enjoyable  time-saving design with a color or finish of the customer's choosing is right on the mark.  I'm about to redesign my own kitchen and I'm going to make sure I have a perfect place for “Domino”.

"Domino" could be the centerpiece of the chief everything officer's command center...the kitchen. Utility is her new luxury, and the "Domino" would be headquarters in no time.  I would start using one yesterday.

I am enthusiastic and very encouraged for the future business opportunities based upon the Full Ride Studios presentation. For a number of years, I have been involved in understanding and documenting consumer usage patterns leveraging products that employ some of the elements presented by Full Ride Studios.  The proposal, positioning and features are directly inline to match a strong buying segment of the US consumer.  The business model holds many solid assumptions in its foundation.
